The Iberia Parish Democratic Organization is committed to aligning with the values and principles outlined in the national Democratic Party platform. By referencing the national platform, the organization ensures that its actions and initiatives are in line with the broader goals of the Democratic Party, and that they are working towards creating a more equitable and just society for all. Democrats believe there is a better way. We can and must build a thriving, equitable, and globally competitive clean energy economy that puts workers and communities first and leaves no one behind.

Democrats believe we need to overhaul the criminal justice system from top to bottom. Police brutality is a stain on the soul of our nation. It is unacceptable that millions of people in our country have good reason to fear they may lose their lives in a routine traffic stop, or while standing on a street corner, or while playing with a toy in a public park.
